About Tyler McRae

Close enough to the work to be useful.

McTech is an owner-operated consulting practice built around a simple idea: understand how the work happens before asking technology to change it.

Owner / OperatorTyler McRae

Technology, operations, automation, and practical AI consulting from southwest Arkansas.

Experience across two scales.

My day-to-day work spans enterprise HR technology and the practical systems used by small businesses, schools, churches, and regional organizations. That combination matters: large systems teach discipline around data, access, governance, and change; small organizations teach you to respect time, cash, staffing, and the way people really work.

McTech engagements begin with observation and plain questions. The goal is not to make a client dependent on a consultant. It is to leave behind a system, decision, or standard that the people doing the work can understand and own.

Protect first. Improve second. Automate third.

Working principles

01

Begin in operational language

The conversation starts with the work and the people doing it—not product names.

02

Choose the smallest reliable change

A modest improvement that survives is worth more than an impressive system nobody can maintain.

03

Leave ownership behind

Documentation, training, and understandable decisions are part of the deliverable.

Let's look at the work together.
